Dommasandra station

Dommasandra is planned as an elevated station near the Sarjapur end of the line, after which the route continues to Sompura, Kada Agrahara Road and the Sarjapura terminal. It is about 3.3 km from Abhee City Urban Glenn and serves the Gunjur–Dommasandra–Sarjapur belt, which has no metro today.

What the Red Line would change for Gunjur

  • A direct rail link to the ORR tech parks at Bellandur and on to Koramangala and Hebbal.
  • A transfer at Hebbal towards the airport corridor, instead of a 75–90 minute drive.
  • Less dependence on Varthur–Sarjapur Road, which is congested at peak hours.

How to factor it into a purchase

Treat the metro as upside, not a certainty. Central approval is still pending, and Bengaluru metro timelines often slip. Coincidentally, the Red Line's target window lines up with Urban Glenn's RERA possession date of December 2033, so buyers there could see both arrive around the same time. Judge any home on today's road commute first.

Metro access today

The nearest operational metro for Gunjur residents is the Purple Line at Whitefield. Most residents currently commute by car, cab or BMTC bus. See the full distance table in our Urban Glenn location section and the Gunjur locality guide.
